Christina Lawrence, Au.D., CCC-A/SLP

Doctor of Audiology/Speech-Language Pathologist

Dr. Lawrence is from New Orleans, Louisiana.  She graduated with a Doctorate of Audiology from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.  She also obtained her Masters of Science degree specializing in Speech-Language Pathology from Southeastern Louisiana University.  Dr. Lawrence maintains national certification from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association,  as well as state licensure in four states.  Dr. Lawrence founded “Speech, Hearing and Balance Institute, Inc. (SHBI),” which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing speech, language and hearing services to low-income populations.  She works part-time on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona, maintains and operates a hearing office in Mexico, and is currently developing an office in Puerto Rico.  She is trilingual (English, Spanish, and American Sign Language). In 2019, Dr. Lawrence received the “Distinguished Alumni” award from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Southeastern Louisiana University. Dr. Lawrence is married to Nicholas Lawrence (see below) and has a son and daughter.

Nicholas Lawrence, MCD, CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Nick Lawrence is from Lander, Wyoming. He graduated from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center with a Masters of Communication Sciences and Disorders. He specializes in preschool language development and adult neurogenics. Nick developed a preschool speech screening program within Red Mesa Unified School District #27, located on the Navajo Reservation. He is nationally certified in Speech-Language Pathology with the American Speech Language and Hearing Association and works in various rural schools on the Western Slope. He performs in an old time string band and enjoys hiking the area’s canyons and mountains.

Queenie Barz

Patient Care Coordinator

Queenie is a Mancos native and has spent her life caring for people. She is highly active in the Montezuma County Women’s Auxiliary, and has worked with Veterans for many years. Queenie has also worked closely with hospice patients and their families and is currently the Mayor of the Town of Mancos.

Victoria Petersen Lewis

Chief Creative Officer

As our CCO, Victoria directs the company’s creative output, developing our branding at LSHS. Her task is to create the unique image of our company and deliver this distinctive design to clients. Victoria also develops our website, social media and print creation through marketing, design, media outreach, and message development. She is our tech person and designs, implements and maintains our office technology. Victoria graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Illinois, has owned and operated a technology consulting firm, and has been employed by several companies as an IT and Marketing professional. Personally, Victoria has a passion for the outdoors, for helping people, and for a healthy planet. She lives in Mancos with her husband and three boys and spends most of her free time at their ranch.
